YOUR RESOURCE GUIDE

At Dyslexia School of Houston, we understand how many families struggle to receive the proper dyslexia diagnosis for their child, and how often students lack the essential foundation they need to move forward in their education. Dyslexia School of Houston provides the innovation and support for students and educators, and the resources necessary for parents to obtain a better understanding of dyslexia to watch their child thrive in what for many, becomes their first good instruction.

FOR PARENTS

As the first true dyslexia school in Houston, we take pride in unlocking literacy – we believe if they can’t learn the way we teach, we teach the way they learn!

Our ultimate goal is to provide parents with the right resources to better understand their child and get them on the right path, rather than the usual run-around from school districts. The sooner you can diagnose and provide proper instruction, the better.

FOR EDUCATORS

We know that structured literacy at the beginning of a child’s education can make all the difference in the world. Being aware of the common risk factors for dyslexia in your classroom and proper intervention, can change a student’s perspective on literacy for the rest of their academic career.

We partner with educators to help improve the literacy in students with reading or comprehension challenges, who are not receiving the proper attention in their given school in order to succeed. By recommending Dyslexia School of Houston to families searching for answers, you set another child up for success!

FOR STUDENTS

We believe in true inclusion and empathy for all of our students. As such, we are focused more on meeting each child where they are, rather than forcing every student to work at the same pace. If we believe one student needs more specific attention on instruction on any given principle, we do not leave them behind. Students with specific literacy challenges and/or dyslexia are properly given what they need to succeed academically (we also don’t assign homework!).
