MICROSCHOOL

DYSLEXIA SCHOOL OF HOUSTON MICROSCHOOL

Dyslexia School of Houston is proud to introduce our full-day Microschool, located at our West University campus in Houston, Texas.
Designed for students in Kindergarten through 2nd Grade, our Microschool provides a highly structured, supportive, and engaging learning environment for children with dyslexia and related learning differences.
This program is built for students who need something different than the traditional classroom—where their learning needs are understood, supported, and prioritized every day.

Who We Serve

Our Microschool is designed for students who:
  • Have been diagnosed with dyslexia
  • Are experiencing significant literacy challenges
  • May have co-occurring differences such as ADHD or mild autism
  • Have not found success in a traditional school setting
We focus on students who are capable of thriving in a structured, academically focused environment when given the right instruction and support.

Our Approach

We combine evidence-based dyslexia intervention, small group instruction, and highly trained educators within a structured, language-rich curriculum. Students receive daily, targeted instruction designed to build strong foundational reading and writing skills while also growing in confidence and independence.
Beyond core academics, our program incorporates enriching experiences such as STEM activities, art, field trips, and outdoor time. This balanced approach supports both academic growth and whole-child development.

Mission

Our mission is to create an optimal learning environment for children with dyslexia and related learning differences by providing intensive, research-based instruction led by highly trained and compassionate educators in a setting where students feel confident, capable, and truly understood.
We are committed to helping each student build the literacy skills and self-confidence needed to succeed in future academic environments.
